It is why they come back year after year. CMA Music Festival always has something fresh to offer.”

The legendary Charlie Daniels will kick off the 2006 CMA Music Festival with a dynamic performance on the Greased Lightning(R) Riverfront Stage on Thursday, June 8 at 10:00 AM.

“Each year we try to kick off CMA Music Festival with an artist who epitomizes the wonderful relationship between our fans and the artists,” said Genovese. “Charlie is an obvious choice. He embodies musical creativity, artistic and personal integrity – and the fans and our industry love him for it. And there is no artist who loves the fans more than Charlie Daniels.”
