Clint Black : The Love Songs

Clint Black’s new CD The Love Songs is a twelve song collection of his most memorable love songs, including “When I Said I Do,” the Grammy-nominated duet with his wife Lisa Hartman Black. The album will be released on January 30, 2007, just in time for Valentine’s Day. According to Clint, many of the songs remain true to the original version, while a few get a slight update. “I wanted to do a record that’s not just a reissue of hits,” he explained. “Sometimes when I go back and revisit my older recordings, I find little things that, in hindsight, I feel I could improve on just a bit – some new twist that might make it just a little bit better.”

Pre-order The Love Songs now from Amazon “Clint has positively affected so many people’s lives and relationships with his love songs, we thought it would be appropriate to put them all on one CD, and have it out in time for Valentine’s Day,” said Equity President Mike Kraski. The CD will include some of Clint’s most popular and memorable recordings, including “Something That We Do,” “My Imagination” and “Half The Man,” plus Jim Croce’s classic “I’ll Have To Say I Love You In A Song.”

“I’m a huge Jim Croce fan, so it was a natural for me to include his song in this collection,” Clint explained. “I was trying to find my own voice in this cover, but it is hard to get away from that original Croce sound, which is so good.

The cover artwork for “The Love Songs” features an original Peter Max painting of the Blacks.
