Let me get right to the punchline: I’m not the one you go to when you need solid country music recommendations. That’s why I’m here, on ACountry! I listened to Darius Rucker when he was Hootie and I owned one Martina McBride CD. Concrete Angels really put tears in my eyes. As of now, I could probably name five to six country song titles, but I’d like to change that. I’m hoping that with your help, you guys can recommend songs and we can grow together.
Country music really is a big deal. It’s a lot of American dreams and summer nights with loved ones. Of broken hearts and sad songs. It’s a lot of things that some genres can’t reach. You can’t hear the heartbreak in a rap song, in someone’s voice who has been through hell and back. That’s the kind of music I love, and that’s the kind of music I’m on the search for. The songs that really mean what they’re saying and the songs you can really get behind.
