The Country Radio Seminar (CRS) is always full of surprises and on March 20th, the BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville event turned into an emotional, star-studded gala for one man: Jason Aldean.
What Aldean thought was a routine appearance to perform a single song turned into a career-defining milestone party celebrating his incredible 31 Number One hits. Hosted by Jon Loba and JoJamie Hahr, the night honored two decades of dominance that includes 13 Top 10 albums and a permanent seat at the head of the country music table.

A Legendary Lineup of Tributes
The highlight of the night wasn’t just the plaques; it was the performances. Aldean watched from the wings as his own musical heroes and peers took the stage to cover his biggest hits:
- Alabama: Aldean’s self-proclaimed favorite band performed “The Closer You Get,” a staple in Jason’s early bar sets.
- Blake Shelton: Delivered a high-energy rendition of the chart-topper “When She Says Baby.”
- Travis Tritt: Brought the house down with the fan-favorite “Night Train.”
- Florida Georgia Line Reunion: In a massive moment for the crowd, Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard reunited to perform “You Make It Easy,” the smash hit they co-wrote with Morgan Wallen.
“I had no idea about tonight,” Aldean told the crowd, clearly moved. “All the writers here tonight are why I have a career… I’m blown away.”
Honoring the Songwriters
While the marquee names grabbed the headlines, the heart of the evening was the 54 songwriters in attendance. From legends like Rhett Akins and David Lee Murphy to modern hitmakers like Ashley Gorley and Morgan Wallen, the room was a “who’s who” of Nashville’s creative engine.
Aldean closed the night by performing his 31st Number One, “How Far Does A Goodbye Go,” reminding everyone exactly why he’s currently a double nominee for Country Artist of the Year at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
