La Leyenda was founded in 1995 by five childhood friends. Their major influence came from norteño artists such as Ramon Ayala and Intocable. Their debut album, "Necesito Un Amor," was released in 2003.
Their first hits were “Necesito Un Amor” and ¿Acaso piensas?”. In 2004, with the release of their sophomore album, “Algo En Ti,” the fan base grew even more. In 2008, La Leyenda was the only group to perform at the Norteño al Concierto Exa in Arena Monterrey because of fan requests.
