New Music Alert! Sierra Ferrell Teams Up with Alt-Country Supergroup Chaparelle for "When It Snows In Texas"

Supergroup Chaparelle has just released their newest single, “When It Snows In Texas,“ featuring the incredible, GRAMMY Award®-winning singer-songwriter Sierra Ferrell. The track, out now via Mom+Pop Music, is a beautiful snapshot of their home state.

The Story Behind the Song

The collaboration came to life in the most Austin-esque way. Chaparelle: composed of indie pop star Zella Day, singer-songwriter Jesse Woods, and renowned producer Beau Bedford (known for work with Orville Peck and Wyatt Flores) were joined by Sierra Ferrell and a mutual friend at their Hill Country cabin.

As Chaparelle shared, “When it snows in Texas, it is always a surreal moment in time, as was Sierra Ferrell writing with us at our cabin in the Hill Country… a song fell out of the sky.” The single, recorded at Modern Electric Sound Recorders, is a true collaboration, co-written by Beau Bedford, Zella Day, Sierra Ferrell, and Jesse Woods.
