Austin Winter Nights

Robert Earl Keen headlines this weekend’s edition of Austin Winter Nights with songs from Farm Fresh Onions and all the crowd favorites. Fans can warm up for the show by catching an encore presentation of Robert’s appearance on All American Festivals. The episode airs Sunday afternoon at 1:30 PM CST on the Food Network.

Austin Winter Nights is a concert series to showcase the “Live Music Capital of the World” and the music community who works diligently to retain that title. This year the Paramount Theatre will celebrate 90 years as Austin’s premier venue for music and the performing arts. Austin Winter Nights is proud to play its role in the celebration by hosting this exciting music series within the walls of an historic icon. Austin Winter Nights benefits the Austin Music Foundation and SIMS Foundation.

Austin Winter Nights kicked off January 16 with Branford Marsalis. The inaugural concert series includes Robert Earl Keen on January 23, Ozomatli on January 29, Yonder Mountain String Band with The Del McCoury Band on February 5, and Bruce Hornsby on February 19. McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant today announced its support for the inaugural Austin Winter Nights concert series. Taking a leadership role, the restaurant will serve as the title sponsor to help support the weekend concerts.

“We believe the Austin Winter Nights concert series is an important event to support aspiring musicians as it reinforces Austin’s position as the Live Music Capital of the World,” said Richard Everitt, general manager of McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant Austin. “We are committed to Austin, proud to be close to such cultural landmarks as the Paramount Theater and look forward to serving and supporting the Austin community for many years to come.”

An impeccable group of Austin’s community leaders has been assembled to steer the series efforts led by honorary chairman Mayor Will Wynn. The following organizations and businesses are sponsors of Austin Winter Nights: McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant; Time Warner Cable; H-E-B; Hilton Austin; Motive, Inc.; Brain and Spine Center at Breckenridge Hospital; Baker Botts L.L.P.; PetersGroup Public Relations; Collings Guitars; Haynes Boone; Waterloo Ice House; Seton Healthcare Network; The Lithoprint Company; 721 Congress Avenue; Paper and Ink; DinerDeals.com; Rockin’ Ride; Watershed 5 Studios; Music in Motion; Sweet Leaf Tea; Hahn Estates; KGSR-FM; The Austin Chronicle; KUT-FM.
