Carrie Underwood 2006 Tour Dates

Carrie Underwood’s tour takes the 2005 American Idol winner to festivals and fairs across the country. This will be Underwood’s first round of touring since the “American Idols Live! 2005” 44-city sold-out tour last summer.

“It is so thrilling to be able to get back out and perform for the fans again,” says Underwood. “We put a band together last year to launch the album with radio and television promotion. We are all itching to get on a bus and really travel across the states and see the real America.” Underwood began 2006 with her debut album Some Hearts setting the benchmark for all new artists to follow and made music history as the fastest-selling debut country album. Some Hearts has sold over two million copies since its release, becoming the fastest-certified debut country album ever released. The disc’s powerful lead single, “Jesus, Take the Wheel,” reigned at No. 1 for six consecutive weeks on the country singles chart.
