Here at ACountry.com, we’re always on the lookout for the bands that are bringing a fresh, authentic sound to country music, and let us tell you, The Red Clay Strays have been firmly on our radar. So, we were absolutely thrilled to hear the news: this incredibly talented group has just been named the ACM New Duo or Group Artist of the Year!

Hailing from Mobile, Alabama, The Red Clay Strays – comprised of the powerhouse vocals and guitar of Brandon Coleman, the soulful harmonies and guitar of Drew Nix, the driving guitar of Zach Rishel, the steady bass of Andrew Bishop, the rock-solid drumming of John Hall, and the captivating keys of Sevans Henderson – have been building a groundswell of support with their raw talent and undeniable chemistry.

Their journey is a testament to the power of authentic music connecting with fans. After independently releasing their debut album, “Moment of Truth,” in 2022, the breakout single “Wondering Why” took the world by storm. This incredible track didn’t just resonate with country fans; it soared into the Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative Songs Chart and cracked the Top 20 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart! That kind of cross-genre appeal is a sure sign of something special.

This undeniable buzz led to a well-deserved deal with RCA Records, and the band didn’t slow down for a second. Their latest studio album, “Made by These Moments,” produced by the acclaimed Dave Cobb, has been met with universal praise and marked their very first entry into the Billboard 200! That’s a massive achievement and a clear indication that The Red Clay Strays are a force to be reckoned with in the music scene.

Now, they’re set to be celebrated for this fantastic ACM win at the 60th ACM Awards, hosted by the one and only Reba McEntire! We can’t wait to see them shine on that prestigious stage alongside so many other incredible artists. The awards will be streaming live for a global audience on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch this Thursday, May 8th at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT / 5 p.m. PT from the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.

The Red Clay Strays’ win is a fantastic reminder that genuine talent and hard work truly pay off. Their unique blend of Southern rock grit and country soul has clearly captured the hearts of fans and the industry alike. We’re incredibly excited to see what the future holds for this dynamic and deserving band. Congratulations, Red Clay Strays! We’ll be cheering you on this Thursday!
