Trace Adkins will perform his brand new single, “Songs About Me” as part of the Fedex Orange Bowl halftime show. Also appearing are Ashlee Simpson and the first American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson. The halftime extravaganza will also include 3,000 dancers, with over 1,000 youth participants hailing from local South Florida dance studios. The Oklahoma Sooners and the USC Trojans battle for the national championship tonight at 8:00 PM EST on ABC. This is the first time in history that two Heisman Tropy winners will play in the same game.
“Songs About Me” is the first single from Adkins’ new album for Capitol Records/Nashville and is scheduled for release in March 2005.
