Hold onto your hats, because the 60th Academy of Country Music Awards is just around the corner –  and it’s a star-studded affair! If you’re like me, you’re already buzzing with excitement.

Let’s dive right into the highlights:


Who’s Leading the Pack?

This year, we’re seeing some incredible talent shine. Leading the charge with a whopping eight nominations is newcomer Ella Langley. Talk about making an entrance! Hot on her heels with seven nominations each are Cody Johnson, Morgan Wallen, and Lainey Wilson. And let’s not forget Chris Stapleton with six, and Riley Green and Post Malone with five each!  

The Big Night: May 8th on Prime Video

Mark your calendars! The 60th ACM Awards, hosted by the legendary Reba McEntire, will be streaming live exclusively on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch. Get ready to tune in on Thursday, May 8th at 8 p.m. EDT/7 p.m. CDT/5 p.m. PDT from the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. This isn’t just any show; it’s a celebration of 60 years of country music! We’re promised unforgettable performances from icons like Blake Shelton, Eric Church, and Lainey Wilson.  

Nominee Highlights That Will Blow Your Mind:

  • Ella Langley’s Historic Debut: Eight nominations, including Female Artist of the Year and six for “you look like you love me” with Riley Green. Unbelievable!
  • Cody Johnson’s Big Year: Seven nominations, including Entertainer of the Year and multiple nods for “Dirt Cheap” and his collaboration with Carrie Underwood.
  • Morgan Wallen’s Continued Success: Seven nominations, including his third consecutive Entertainer of the Year nod, and four for “I Had Some Help” with Post Malone.
  • Lainey Wilson’s Versatility: Nominations in six different categories, including her first Artist-Songwriter of the Year nomination.
  • Luke Combs’ Triple Crown Chase: He’s up for Entertainer of the Year, which could clinch him the coveted Triple Crown Award.
  • Chris Stapleton’s Legacy: His tenth consecutive Male Artist of the Year nomination!
  • Old Dominion’s Dominance: Their tenth consecutive Group of the Year nomination.
  • Brothers Osborne’s Consistency: Their eleventh straight Duo of the Year nomination.
  • Kacey Musgraves’ Milestone: Reaching 30 career nominations.
  • Kelsea Ballerini’s First Entertainer of the Year Nomination: A huge moment!
  • Little Big Town’s Record Pursuit: Their 19th Group of the Year nomination.
  • Rascal Flatts’ Return: Their first Group of the Year nomination since 2017.  
  • Shaboozey’s Breakthrough: His first ACM nominations, including Single of the Year.
  • New Faces to Watch: A slew of first-time nominees including Gavin Adcock, Dasha, Noah Kahan, Jessie Murph, Muscadine Bloodline, Zach Top, The Red Clay Strays, Treaty Oak Revival, and Tucker Wetmore.
