A Night For Austin

Long time ACountry supporters know we have a huge Texas contingency that has been hurting but helping and supporting all live music causes. Until we can return to normal and get back out to boot-wearin’ beer-cheersin’ times, we scope the interwebs for things to lift us up.

A Night For Austin streams June 10 with a virtual event in support and celebration of the “live music capital of the world.”  Tune in for a glimpse at the faces and places that have kept this beloved city alive. The broadcast will showcase at-home performances from Willie Nelson, Paul Simon and some of their closest friends, and highlight many of the iconic venues that have contributed to Austin’s status as a renowned cultural hub.

A Night for Austin lineup includes Willie Nelson, Paul Simon, Edie Brickell, Vince Gill, Lyle Lovett, Shawn Colvin, John Hiatt, Jerry Douglas, Bonnie Raitt and Boz Scaggs, Ryan Bingham, Black Pumas, Ray Benson and Asleep at the Wheel, Augie Meyers with Los Texmaniacs, Flaco Jimenez with Los Texmaniacs, Patty Griffin, Alejandro Escovedo, Lukus Nelson, Gary Clark Jr., Britt Daniel (Spoon), Jimmie Vaughan and The Tilt-a-Whirl Band, David Ramirez, Charlie Sexton with Doyle Bramhall II, Terry Allen, Norah Jones, James Taylor, Ethan Hawke, Renee Zellweger, Woody Harrelson, and Owen Wilson.

A Night For Austin will be streamed on ANightForAustin.com and Luck Reunion’s Twitch channel.  A  virtual tip jar will accept donations, with 100% of the proceeds to benefit Austin Community Foundation and the fund’s beneficiaries MusiCares, Red River Cultural District, Six Square, Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, Central Texas Food Bank, Southern Smoke, and People Fund.  Wanna help?  Make a donation.
