Billy Bob’s Texas plans to reopen for concerts on August 14 with socially distanced reduced capacity.  The legendary Texas honk tonk, located in the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District, has applied for a new permit that would allow the venue to open and operate as a restaurant, under restaurant guidelines. Management is still working on a few details but has every intention of opening BBT and the Honky Tonk Kitchen sometime between August 12-14.

Tickets go on sale Friday (Aug 7) for August concerts including The Bellamy Brothers, Tracy Byrd,  Flatland Cavalry, Casey Donahew, Chad Prather, and Josh Abbott Band.

Initial plans are to reduce the venue capacity (normally 6,000) to 1,200 tickets, with 1,000 socially distanced reserved seats and 200 socially distanced general admission tickets.  The concerts are subject to change pending approval of the new permit, unforeseen executive orders, mandates, and recommendations made by the local and state health authorities.  In addition, there are no bull riding shows or valet services at this time.
