Faith Hill takes to the stage on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 in Nashville, to celebrate the songs of her sixth studio release sixth studio album, Fireflies, and the people who made them possible, the songwriters.
“I’m really proud of this record,” said Faith. “I’m proud of the heart that my musicians, producers, writers and production team gave this album and I’m proud of what the songs represent.”
A collection of songs that celebrate everyday life, Fireflies boasts music from some of the industry’s best and brightest songwriters including John Rich (Big & Rich), Lori McKenna, Craig Wiseman, Brett and Brad Warren (The Warren Brothers), Darrell Scott, amongst others. The album was co-produced by Faith in collaboration with her longtime producers Byron Gallimore and Dann Huff.
The songs on Fireflies all have a certain everyday quality to them,î said Faith. ìThey paint vivid pictures, at least to me, of everyday life. I knew right after I finished the album that I wanted to get everyone together in one room because I felt as if it would be like getting together with family to celebrate a holiday ñ only weíre celebrating the songs. Iím really looking forward to seeing (and to meeting) and celebrating with all of these incredibly talented people.î
All twenty-four songwriters are expected to be on hand for the event, including John Rich (Big & Rich), Lori McKenna, Brett and Brad Warren, Darrell Scott and Craig Wiseman. Faith will perform the songs from her newly released album Fireflies and more in front of a live audience.
Once completed Faith will head to Los Angeles for two sold-out performances at Los Angelesí Pantages Theater. The August 15th and 16th performances, the centerpieces of her forthcoming network special, sold out in less than 20 minutes.
