Mercury Nashville and Julianne Hough are celebrating the newcomer’s self-titled debut album sales in excess of 67K, which makes it the #1-selling country album and #3 overall album this week.  This also marks the highest country debut of an artist since 2006.

“Country music has always been my passion,” says Julianne.  “Having the opportunity to make a record in Nashville and then getting to share that with the world is beyond my wildest imagination.  A big thanks to Luke Lewis and the entire Mercury staff.”

It’s the culmination of a huge week for Julianne that included performances on Good Morning America and The View, and singing the national anthem at the Indy 500.

“There are so many people to thank for helping me achieve this dream,” Julianne continues.  “From my family, the writers and musicians, and to everyone at Dancing with the Stars.”

Catch Julianne on the 42-date “The Paisley Party” Tour, which kicks off June 11 in Albuquerque, NM and check out her current single and video for “That Song In My Head”.
