Robert Earl Keen Red Cross Benefit in Helotes

This Friday, October 15th, Floores Country Store in Helotes will host Texas Legend Robert Earl Keen along with Reckless Kelly. Keen, Floores and KJ97 have joined together to host a silent auction and to collect donations all to benefit the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. Auction Items will include a Gibson guitar autographed by Robert Earl Keen, CD’s, concert tickets, T-shirts, DVD’s and more. Auction will begin at 8:00pm and end at 10:00p.m. Cash donations will be accepted until 11:00p.m. The San Antonio Area Chapter of the American Red Cross has raised $325,000 locally for the Disaster Relief Fund. These funds will be used to help shelter, feed, provide mental health and emergency services to those affected by disasters. In 2002 the DRF helped the victims of floods right here in San Antonio and South Texas by providing over $7 million dollars towards relief efforts.

The Red Cross has been providing support to those affected by Hurricanes Bonnie, Charley and Frances since August 13th, the first storm occurring one month ago. Total prior to Ivan the Red Cross services included 620 shelters opened, housing more than 286,200 people; more than 5 million meals served.

Driving Directions to Floores Country Store

From Downtown San Antonio:

Take IH 10 West to Loop 1604 (Anderson Loop), exit and go west on 1604 to the Hwy 16 exit (San Antonio/Bandera) exit and go right approximately 2.5 miles and we are on the left hand side.

From Austin:

Take 35 South to Loop 1604 (Anderson Loop) exit and go right (West) on 1604 for about 22 miles until you reach the Hwy 16 (San Antonio/Bandera) exit. Exit and go right on Hwy 16 for about 2.5 miles and we are on the left hand side.
