Tim McGraw : Live Like You Were Dying

“Drugs or Jesus” will be the next single from Tim McGraw’s Live Like You Were Dying album, Tim announced Friday night at the Nashivlle Kats season ticket holder kickoff party concert.

“This concert by Tim McGraw is an outstanding way to kickoff the Kats’ first season,” said K.S. “Bud” Adams, Jr., the team’s majority owner, when the kickoff concert was announced on November 4. “It is a special night when Kats season ticket holders get an opportunity to meet our team and see one of the world’s top performers.” Tim McGraw is a minority owner of the Arena League Football Team. Nashville Kats fans have bought more than 7,000 season tickets for the 2005 season.

After already establishing himself as one of country music’s most popular and respected performers, McGraw officially joined the ownership group of the Arena Football League franchise in November. In announcing his involvement with the team, McGraw also disclosed that the concert for Kats season ticket holders in January will be his only live, headline performance in Nashville in 2005.

Tim McGraw Drugs or Jesus lyrics
In my home town
For anyone who sticks around
You’re either lost or you’re found
There’s not much in between
In my home town
Everything’s still black and white
It’s a long, long way from wrong to right
From Sunday morning to Saturday night

Everybody just wants to get high
Sit and watch a perfect world go by
We’re all looking for love and meaning in our lives
We follow the roads that lead us
To drugs or Jesus

My whole life
I’ve tried to run, I’ve tried to hide
From the stained glass windows in my mind
Refusing to let God’s light shine
Down on me
Down on me

Everybody just wants to get high
Sit and watch a perfect world go by
We’re all looking for love and meaning in our lives
There’s not much space between us
Drugs or Jesus

Everybody wants acceptance
We all just want some proof
Everyone’s just looking for the truth

Everybody just wants to get high
Sit and watch a perfect world go by
We’re all looking for love and meaning in our lives
We follow the roads that lead us
To drugs or Jesus
To drugs or Jesus
Oh I need you Jesus
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah,
Hallelujah
