ACountry salutes George Strait as 60 for 60 is now a reality: “Give It All We Go Tonight” is George’s 60th number one hit. “I didn’t realize we were making history—I just hoped we were putting out music that my fans would enjoy,” said Strait. “As always, I’m thankful to the fans and country radio for their support on all 60 of these number one songs as well as my entire career. They are the ones who made this happen.”

RIP George Jones 1931 - 2013

“He stopped loving her today….” George Jones died Friday, April 26, 2013 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Born September 12, 1931, Jones is regarded among the most important and influential singers in American popular music history. He was the singer of enduring country music hits including “She Thinks I Still Care,” “The Grand Tour,” “Walk Through This World With Me,” “Tender Years” and “He Stopped Loving Her Today,” the latter of which is often at the top of industry lists of the greatest country music singles of all time.

CMA Country Christmas 2012, featuring Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles as host for the third year, premieres on Thursday, December 20 (9 pm ET) on the ABC Television Network. CMA Country Christmas will repeat on Saturday December 22 (9 pm ET) and Sunday, December 23 (4 pm ET). Kenny Chesney and Costa Present $50,000 to Coastal Conservation Association

ACountry salutes Kenny Chesney and Costa Sunglasses for their support of the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA). Kenny and Amanda Perryman from Costa Sunglasses presented a check for $50,000 to Pat Murray to benefit the Coastal Conservation Association. These funds were raised through sales of the Kenny Chesney Limited Edition Costa Sunglasses throughout Kenny’s Goin’ Coastal 2011 tour.
