Robert Earl Keen : Merry Christmas To Space Station

Robert Earl Keen : Merry Christmas From The Family

Robert Earl Keen has some fans that are out of this world - literally. Recently, International Space Station Commander Bill McArthur, spoke with a group of students in Italy via amateur radio. Along with information on what it is like to live in space, McArthur shared some of his personal interests with the students. Said McArthur, "I like country-and-western music--Garth Brooks [and] Robert Earl Keen are my favorite singers there."

On December 14, Keen visited Houston's Johnson Space Center and surprised McArthur with a personal call to the International Space Station. Keen ended the conversation by serenading McArthur with "Mr. Wolf and Mama Bear" and "Feelin' Good Again." Dr. Sean Roden, NASA flight surgeon, commented about the experience, "Bill was SO happy about the videoconference with Robert Earl. I mean super happy. He was absolutely thrilled. He said that he was totally caught by surprise . . . It was truly special."

Robert Earl Keen's new book, Merry Christmas From The Family is the perfect stocking stuffer for music fans on your list. Using authentic Keen family photos, recipes, and craft instructions, it illustrates all the verses of the song, which you can sing along with on the accompanying CD.

The road goes on forever... and the party never ends as ACountry presents your chance to experience Robert Earl Keen live. Click here to win FREE Robert Earl Keen tickets!
