Super Bowl XXXIX

Super Bowl tickets and concerts are in high demand as Jacksonville braces for Super Bowl fever. Super Bowl tickets, among the world’s most sought after event tickets, are high on the wish list for many fans as Philadelphia and New England join the party and the battle for the Lombardi Trophy.

Leading up to the Super Bowl, concerts will take center stage. CMT will broadcast Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Super Bowl Saturday Night Special live at 9 PM EST/8 PM CST on Feb. 5, the night before Super Bowl XXXIX. CMT’s brand of tailgate party will also feature Grammy nominated Texican rockers Los Lonely Boys and country star Jo Dee Messina. Kick-off to Super Bowl XXXIX: Celebrate Jacksonville, presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, is the officially sanctioned Host Committee event to kick off game week. Produced by PRI Productions, the event will take place at 8 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2005 at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. Montgomery Gentry will perform live.

This is a great opportunity for Jacksonville residents to beat the crowds and participate in an incredible Super Bowl celebration. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida Presents Kick Off to Super Bowl XXXIX will honor the game of football and pay tribute to the incredible community effort behind Super Bowl XXXIX. The evening will celebrate the people and spirit of Jacksonville by raising the official flag to kick off the largest sporting event ever to be held in our city.

The event will feature guests from the NFL, including Commissioner Paul Tagliabue and anticipated appearances from the head coaches of the competing teams as well other current and former NFL players and coaches. NFL Films will provide video highlights of this year’s football season. FOX Sports commentator James Brown, one of the most widely recognized and admired sports commentators in the country, will emcee this event.

Montgomery Gentry is a modern day country music duo that has performed for more than five million fans and produced four hit albums within the last five years. During the program, Montgomery Gentry will play its hit single, My Town. The band will then perform a full concert at the conclusion of the event program.

The Pepsi Smash Super Bowl Concert series featuring Jo Dee Messina, Chris Cagle and Dwight Yoakam kicks off the weekend on Friday, Feb. 4 at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena.

Gretchen Wilson and Charlie Daniels will team up for a performance during the Super Bowl pregame show on Sunday, Feb. 6.
