The billboard in Nashville was no coincidence, and the mystery voicemail was no glitch: Koe Wetzel and Ella Langley are back together.
After a full week of cryptic social media posts, fan theories, and digital sleuthing, Koe Wetzel has officially confirmed that his brand-new single at Country radio, “Jaded” featuring Ella Langley, drops this Friday, August 7.

If you’ve been following both of their skyrocketing trajectories, you know this reunion has been a long time coming. This marks the duo’s first collaboration since their Gold-certified smash “That’s Why We Fight,” reuniting two of the most raw and compelling voices in the genre right when both are riding massive waves of career-defining momentum.
Inside the Song: “How’d You Get So Jaded?”
Co-written by Wetzel, Langley, Jordan Schmidt, and ERNEST, “Jaded” leans heavily into the unfiltered, vulnerable storytelling that Koe’s fanbase lives for, paired seamlessly with Ella’s unmistakable, gritty vocals. Built as a conversation between two people carrying the heavy weight of past heartbreak, the track digs into a core question anyone who has been through the emotional wringer knows all too well: “How’d you get so jaded?”
For both artists, getting back into the studio together was less of a tactical move and more of a natural evolution.
“Ella’s been one of my favorite people to write and sing with for a long time,” Koe shares. “We recorded ‘That’s Why We Fight’ early on in both of our careers, and getting back in a room together was something we talked about every time we saw each other. When she sings, you believe it and I’m excited we could get this one out there to the fans.”
Ella echoes that sentiment, pointing back to their long history together on and off the stage:
“Koe and I have known each other and been friends for a long time,” Ella adds. “He was one of the first artists I ever got to collaborate with and one of the first I went out on the road with back in 2022. Getting to write and record another song together is special.”
A Landmark Moment for Two Powerhouses
The timing for “Jaded” couldn’t be better. Ella Langley’s feature comes in the middle of a banner year defined by record-setting chart success, major award recognition, and a solid lock on her status as one of contemporary music’s fastest-rising stars.
Meanwhile, Koe is continuing a massive year of his own. Following the release of his critically acclaimed album The Night Champion—which solidified him as Rolling Stone’s “ultimate if-you-know-you-know artist”—Wetzel kept his foot on the gas, releasing five additional tracks written and recorded alongside the original 11. “Jaded” continues that streak of fearless songwriting and genre-bending country-rock edge.
