George Strait : Amarillo By Morning Video
George Strait’s Amarillo By Morning video was filmed at the Houston Rodeo. As the second single from his 1982 album Strait From The Heart, Amarillo By Morning was a Top Five hit, following on the success of George’s first number one hit, Fool Hearted Memory.
The Band Perry : If I Die Young Video
The Band Perry’s If I Die Young video is the trio’s first Number One hit. Written by Kimberly Perry and directed by David McClister, the video includes Kimberly in a canoe holding a book containing poems by Tennyson, including The Lady of Shalott, which the book is opened to at the end of the music video.
‘If I Die Young’ is actually the first song that we had penned for the album,” Kimberly told The Boot. “It defines an early chapter of our music career. We penned it on a cloudy day in East Tennessee, which is where we live and do all of our best thinking. We wanted to write a song about making the most of whatever time you’re given—whether it’s two years, twenty years or two hundred.”
Jason Aldean : My Kinda Party Video
Jason Aldean’s My Kinda Party Video, the title track of his fourth album, was written by Brantley Gilbert. My Kinda Party is nominated for Video of the Year and Male Video of the Year at the 2011 CMT Music Awards.
Little Big Town : Pontoon Video
Little Big Town’s Pontoon video was the band’s first Number One hit. Written by Natalie Hemby, Luke Laird and Barry Dean, Pontoon helped launch Little Big Town’s latest album, “Tornado,” to the top of the Billboard country albums chart. The Pontoon video, directed by Declan Whitebloom, was filmed at Percy Priest Lake in Nashville, Tennessee
Miranda Lambert : Fastest Girl In Town Video
Miranda Lambert’s Fastest Girl In Town video, featuring NASCAR driver Danica Patrick, is the first Miranda video with no vocal performance scenes. “I really get to act in the video. We have live sound and action scenes which feel more like a mini-movie than a music video,” Miranda said.
Kenny Chesney : Somewhere With You Video
Kenny Chesney’s Somewhere With You video is the second single from his Hemingway’s Whiskey album. “This is a tortured soul song,” Kenny told Billboard. “If you get going with somebody, you’ve been in a relationship and for whatever reason she’s gone or you’re gone. And you’re not necessarily in another relationship, but you’re with somebody else, just starting something with somebody else.
Carrie Underwood : Blown Away Video
Carrie Underwood’s Blown Away video is Carrie’s 13th Number One hit. Written by Chris Tompkins and Josh Kear, Blown Away is the second single and title track from Carrie’s fourth studio album. Carrie’s “Blown Away” video was directed by Randee St. Nicholas and produced by Brandon Bonfiglo for Randee St. Nicholas Photography. Lady Antebellum : A Holly Jolly Christmas Video
Lady Antebellum’s A Holly Jolly Christmas video features a little boy at a holiday party hoping to get his Christmas wish - his first kiss. “A Holly Jolly Christmas just has something kind of flirty about it,” said Lady A’s Hillary Scott. “So, when it came time to make the video, we really wanted it to feel light-hearted and fun with a sense of humor…something that just makes you smile.”
Lady Antebellum’s Christmas album, On This Winter’s Night, featuring twelve traditional Christmas songs for the holiday season, is in stores now.
Faith Hill : American Heart Video
Faith Hill’s American Heart video was filmed in Nashville and directed by Trey Fanjoy. “When I first heard this song I was brought to hears,” Faith says. The American Heart video co-stars 10-year-old T.J. Jones.
“People are suffering, trying to make ends meet, and times are especially tough right now. The sentiment captures everything I think we all feel when we think about the American spirit,” Faith said.
Little Big Town : Tornado Video
Little Big Town’s Tornado video is the title track from their Number One album. “I’m a tornado,” Karen Fairchild sings, “looking for a soul to take.” Following on the success of the smash hit Pontoon, Tornado was filmed in Watertown, Tennessee. Directed by Shane Drake, the Tornado video features Little Big Town and co-stars Johnathon Schaech.
